Dr. Rajeev Chathanath

Dr. Rajeev completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Thrissur (Calicut University, Kerala, India) in 1993, and then MD in Internal Medicine from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Diabetes with Distinction from the University of Leicester, UK in 2014, and MSc in Diabetes with Merit from the University of South Wales, UK in 2022.

Dr.Rajeev Chathanth has been serving as Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at NMC Specialty Hospital (formerly Atlas Star Medical Centre) for the past 20 years. With over 26 years of post-graduate clinical experience, he has led outpatient clinics and managed in-patients with dedication and expertise. His professional practice includes extensive work in medical ICU and ICCU management, as well as frontline care of Covid-19 patients during the pandemic across OPD, wards, and intensive care units.

He also has a special interest in various aspects of diabetes management, including screening, patient education, and long-term care strategies.
